Caesium carbonate or cesium carbonate is a chemical compound with the chemical formula Cs2CO3 and CAS No. is 534-17-8.  It is white crystalline solid. Caesium Carbonate has a high solubility in polar solvents such as water, ethanol and DMF. 

Product Application

Cesium carbonate is ainly used for organic synthesis catalysis to increase yield, in the O-alkylation reaction of phenol compounds, synthesis of natural products such as Lipogrammistin-A compounds, and inducing solids such as the three-component reaction of aniline and solid-supported halogens in carbon dioxide atmosphere. It has important uses in supporting organic reactions.

Cesium carbonate is a type of alkali carbonate salt having a remarkable number of applications and has been demonstrated to a mild inorganic base in organic synthesis. It has received much attention for its utility in C, N, O alkylation and arylation reactions.  Cesium carbanate not noly promotes successful carbonylation of alcohols and carbamination of amines, but also suppresses common side reactions traditionally encountered with other protocols.
